THERE ARE 6 DIFFERENT KINDS OF CHARACTERS YOU CAN CREATE

These are the characters you can choose to create, and their details in what requirements are needed for each one.

But this goes for ALL of them:

+ DO NOT MAKE THEM PERFECT. Making them skilled, knowledgeable, and charismatic does NOT make a good character! It makes them a BORING character. Faults are KEY. Just make sure they’re not completely imperfect as well. Get a balance that works for the character.
+ Make EVERYTHING have a reason. And make it LOGICAL. A person with a terrible background must have distain, anger, sadness somewhere in their mind. They’re not going to be the same if their parents die, and they saw it. But some bad backgrounds lead to better, more courageous characters. But only if they learned something from it. And some people with good backgrounds lead to lesser, greedy characters. Figure out, and think about all your decisions.
+ And of course, tell us their bio. Eyes, hair, height, weight, background, skills, what they do, their beliefs, phobias, favorites, secrets, memories, ALL THAT JAZZ! It’s better to know more about a character than will ever be expressed in the story.


[CHARACTER A] = MAIN PROTAGONIST, FEMALE AS MALE.
This is a MAIN CHARACTER. The story will ultimately revolve around them and their problem. You should know what a main character needs.
Make them have a background that slowly shows why they act the way they do, and what parts of them keep on the charade they’re in.
What are their internal, external conflicts? What are their wants and needs? What does what they do/act have to do with the plot/sub-plots? Give us their obstacles, and what do they think they need to do to fix them? Why do they think that way instead of other ways? Show us, don’t tell us. Tell us situations they’re in where they show us THIS is how they act.

[CHARACTER B] = OTHER PROTAGONIST, MALE.
This is a MAIN CHARACTER, although the story’s main plot doesn’t revolve around their goal. But the story DOES have a lot to do with them and their actions.
Make them have a background that slowly, but less slowly than [CHARACTER A], that shows why they act the way they do, and what parts of them keep on the charade they’re in.
What are their internal, external conflicts? What are their wants and needs? What does what they do/act have to do with the plot/sub-plots? Give us their obstacles, and what do they think they need to do to fix them? Why do they think that way instead of other ways? Show us, don’t tell us. Tell us situations they’re in where they show us THIS is how they act.
They’re already showing us they’re okay with lying for their best friend, even if it costs them if they’re found out. Really think about this character.

[CHARACTER C] = ANTAGONIST(S), EITHER GENDER.
(If you create a group of antagonists, have [CHARACTER C] be their leader. You can refer to the others as [CHARACTER C.1, C.2, etc.])
The villain’s role is VERY important, and we’re going to let you guys be very flexible with it. As in, we’re not going to tell you if they’re male, female, or an alien. (Alien is not an option. It was a bad joke. I apologize.)
BUT we are going to tell you that they WILL have to meet these requirements for the story’s sake. But that doesn’t mean you can’t be creative.
+ The antagonist(Villain)’s goal directly interferes with the protagonist [CHARACTER A or B]’s goal.
+ The antagonist has to be thinking what they’re doing is right, and therefore giving them motivation. There can be more than one motivation, but there needs to be at least one thing that is keeping them from giving up.
+They must be able to keep in the fight. Meaning, they’re in a place where they’re going to be able to interact with the protagonists and also is able to stay in the fight. As in, they’re not necessarily physical strong, but they have strong characteristics that keep them in the picture.

[CHARACTER D] = GUIDE, EITHER GENDER.
These are friends, teachers, anyone who helps the protagonist in their journey and help the story to develop. They can be small contributors, or frequent contributors. You must explain where they come into the story, why they’re a guide, their character, and how they’re a guide.
[CHARACTER D.1] = (Is included in [CHARACTER Ds]) [CHARACTER A]’s Grandparent, RARELY physically seen, but that doesn’t mean they can’t play a part in the storyline.

[CHARACTER E] = ADMIERER, EITHER GENDER.
These are the people who unknowingly make [ANY CHARACTER]’s life harder in that they’re always looking to learn more about them, or always seeking attention from them. They can also be guides, but they’re in the story FOR the protagonist.  They can be small contributors, or frequent contributors. You must explain where they come into the story, why they’re an admirer, their character, and how they’re an admirer.

[CHARACTER F] = SMALLER ANTAGONIST, EITHER GENDER.
This is a villain, but on a smaller scale. They’re incomplete and are learning on their journey. They do small things to mess with the protagonists, or other characters. They’re not necessarily evil, but their main focus isn’t to mess with the main protagonist and their main goal.






BASIC STORYLINE:
‘*’ behind anything underlined is where things can be changed for a better idea. If you think of a better idea, note us and we’ll tell you if it’s okay to go off that when you’re creating your character.


Revolves around a girl[CHARACTER A] being sent to a boarding school of the arts with an old friend[CHARACTER B], and tricking/lying to the students/board there that she is a male so she can room with him and avoid girls.* But her ultimate goal is to be accepted to the college of her dreams, which can only be done if she goes to that school.* Plan backfires, and she finds out if the school finds out about her lie, she will be expelled and have no chance of getting into her university.* On top of that, her lie gets harder to hide when she attracts attention from different groups and girls who are interested in her.



POSSIBLE IDEAS FOR CHARACTERS:
+ A Group/Club President/Member that wants a main character to join!
+ A girl/guy from their school wanting a main character's attention/LOVE!
+ A Rival jealous of another character seeking revenge on something!
+ A clique of girls/guys going against a main character
+ A person who lives across the main characters
+ A relative of a main character who lives near by!
+ A person in a class w/main character
+ A Student Rep showing the main character around!
+ A news journalist for the school paper who is a little too interested in a main character

[The reason why there's w/Main Characters is because there has to be a reason for them to keep coming back into the story!]





You MUST answer these questions if creating [CHARACTER A], [CHARACTER B], or [CHARACTER D.1]
+ How do the character(s) convince [CHARACTER A] to go with this plan? How does [CHARACTER B] feel about this? How is [CHARACTER A] able to pull looking/acting like a male off?
+ This is an ART school, and every student is put in a specific study along with basic education. Since [CHARACTER A] is late in enrolling, she is put in one of the only art study that isn’t filled. [YOU GET TO CHOOSE THAT ONE! Think of which one will make it harder for [CHARACTER A] to keep her secret, or that will make her get more attention :] It’ll make a better story.
